THE HAZE™

When we were younger, my partner and I would roll up on her father’s front porch and watch him and his friends drink moonshine out of mason jars. To this day, I don’t know who else drinks moonshine on a porch in the middle of Northwest DC, but hey – to each his own. That moonshine was kicking them in the teeth. The smell alone was so pungent, my jays had a hint of rubbing alcohol.

Now I love a District Cannabis drop, but suffice it to say, I was a little skeptical when I first read the name of this strain: Blackberry Moonshine. As with many strains that share a similar moniker, I knew to anticipate a peppery and heavy experience, although I couldn’t wrap my head around the “moonshine” aspect. When it first came in I asked myself questions like: “What made them name it that?” and “Well, does it really taste like moonshine?”
