District Cannabis has been doing an amazing job hunting for these strain combinations. The different strains they have produced are exciting, and they have been keeping us on our toes with a variety of new drops. Banana Acai Mints is an impressive cross of Banana Punch and Acai Mints.

GENOTYPE: Banana Punch X Acai Mints
PHENOTYPE: Floral, Frosty, Gassy, Dense
OVERALL RATING: B

What pokes out first is the beauty of its bud structure. An abundance of trichomes sits tightly under Banana Acai Mints’ dark green and purple crevices. District Cannabis has cured the buds to be compact and dense. Some connoisseurs will find that the buds are slightly dry, whereas others can appreciate how beautifully Banana Acai Mints will break down in their hands or a grinder.

Taste-wise, despite having Acai Berry Gelato and Purple Punch genetics, Banana Acai Mints isn’t something I’d recommend for flavor connoisseurs. I have found many banana strains to be more smooth than sweet; a trait similarly found in the Banana Acai Mints. Personality-wise, Banana Acai Mints doesn’t like to overly stand out; taking on more of its subtle Banana OG and Mints genetics.

Banana Acai Mints delivers a gassy kush-like experience but feels less heavy than strains in the same class. This makes it harder to stand out. Although not as flavorful as I’d hoped, Banana Acai Mints’ inhale is smooth; and may be followed by immediate mental reward. Banana Acai Mints may provide its users with feelings of serenity and contentment without mental fog.

Although it crept up on me, Banana Acai Mints’ mood elevation is fantastic and may allow you to face the day surrounded by positive energy. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself smiling involuntarily and letting go of those stubborn worries. Like many in the Cookie and Kush Mints phenotype, it feels packed with caryophyllene; an essential oil in the plant that can combat inflammation and anxiety. Users may feel their stress slowly dissipate; as contentment eases tension around the forehead before weighing down on the eyes. Banana Acai Mints has a tendency to feel giggly and social, making it a great choice for spending time with friends and loved ones.

Although I was a little harder on her in the beginning, Banana Acai Mints definitely grew on me. It is subtle, yet undeniably potent. Banana Acai Mints is also a strain that can bring out the best parts of others. What I enjoyed the most was mixing my Banana Acai Mints with District Cannabis’ Blackberry Moonshine. Something about these two strains together was exactly what I needed! Blackberry Moonshine had a more unique taste and smoking experience but tends to be peppery on the exhale. In combination with Banana Acai Mints, Blackberry Moonshine was smoother and better than ever. The exhale became less harsh and I was able to notice its flavor profile more when combined with Banana Acai Mints. Head to your local DC dispensary and give this combo a try!
